Exercising for better movement is a vital aspect of overall health and wellness, and our proven method will take you on a journey of transformation, both physically and mentally. 

Our 4-phase method is designed to guide you through your individual journey with us at Shoshin Movement Studio, to ensure you know what to expect every step of the way and reach your full potential.

Our method provides a timeline of expectations through our style of training: First, experiencing what we have to offer, and then actively engaging in our practices, evolving into a stronger, more agile and happier person, until finally, you feel that Shoshin is a core part of who you are and feel empowered with the growing skills you are acquiring, transformed with the positive changes to your overall health and wellness and continuously becoming a happier, more kick ass version of yourself.

EXPERIENCE

Your First Two Weeks

We believe in creating a holistic approach to fitness. In the first two weeks with us, you’ll begin to understand how our classes and philosophy is different to other studios and gyms.

Our method begins with a focus on learning the fundamental principles of movement, where you will start on easier progressions while learning new patterns. You’ll receive detailed instruction on proper form and technique, and gain a deeper understanding of how your body moves. This foundational knowledge is crucial for building a strong and safe movement practice that will benefit you for years to come.

ENGAGE

2–12 Weeks

You’ll become more familiar with proper movement, and begin to develop a heightened sense of body awareness. This awareness allows you to tune in to how your body feels during movement, and helps you make adjustments to your form for a more effective workout. You'll also feel more comfortable moving your body in different ways, which translates to better performance in your workouts and everyday life.

One of the most exciting aspects of our method is the emphasis on fun and enjoyment. We believe that working out should be something that you look forward to, not just something you feel obligated to do! By incorporating elements of play into our workouts, we make exercise feel less like a chore and more like a fun activity.

EVOLVE

3–6 Months

At this point, you have been with us for 3-6 months and we are thrilled to see the progress you have made in your physical and mental well-being!

You have been consistently applying the principles and techniques you learned during the previous stages and can expect to see a significant transformation in your athleticism, strength, agility, and flexibility.

One of the most important aspects of this stage is mental strength. Through consistent training and dedication, you have built a deeper understanding of your body and its capabilities. This mental strength will carry over into other areas of your life, allowing you to overcome challenges with greater ease and confidence.

Not only will you notice physical improvements, but you will also experience a boost in energy levels and a decrease in stress. This is because regular exercise has been shown to improve overall mood and mental health.

EMPOWERED

6 Months Onwards

After 6 months of training with us, you'll discover a newfound sense of empowerment that extends beyond physical fitness.

Shoshin Movement will have become a cornerstone of your routine and your lifestyle, as you continue to progress towards becoming the best version of yourself.

Not only will you feel stronger, fitter, and more flexible, but you'll also have a deeper understanding of your body and how it works. You'll have developed a more positive mindset and feel mentally stronger as a result of your dedication and hard work.

As you continue to work towards your goals, you'll feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in what you have achieved so far. You'll be motivated and energised to keep pushing yourself, knowing that you have the support of a community of like-minded individuals who share your commitment to living your best life.
